Seek to know

In your dealings with fellow humans never allow your achievement, status in the society or wealth allow you puff yourself up arrogantly…You didn’t achieve those achievements on your own, you didn’t make the wealth out of your intelligence, brawn or tenacity alone surely you’ve been helped by the Divine being because the bible says ‘He alone gives us power to make wealth’. Wealth, achievements and all ephemeral things of this world can make one raise his/her shoulders up in arrogance if not properly checked.

This can make you feel everyone is subject to you and that everyone must take a bow in your presence or when you pass by. Whatever status God has helped you to attain in this life, be humble about it because you didn’t put yourself there, you were simply favored…Do not seek to be known rather seek to know…so that through your humble knowledge/intelligence people will glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Another reason why you should seek to know rather than seeking to be known is because there is a fine thin line between self-esteem and pride and often times there is no instrument to accurately judge when you are crossing over to the other line of the divide and remember the bible says ‘pride goes before a fall’…so in order for you not to fall flat like the biblical wall of Jericho, try to stay humble, do not seek to be known but seek to know because God hates the proud but elevates the humble.

Have a fulfilling Thursday…
